The World Bank has approved an amount of $150 million in an effort to boost enrollment and reading proficiency in pre-primary and primary schools in Punjab.
According to a statement issued by the bank on Saturday, “[The project] Getting Results: Access and Delivery of Quality Education Services in Punjab Project (GRADES) will focus on improving learning outcomes, recovering from learning losses during the COVID-19 pandemic, strengthening the management of schools, and expanding school participation levels.”
The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors approved the project.
