The "Bridgerton" actor Luke Newton, known for his role in the Regency-era drama, appears to have found romance off-screen.
Newton seemingly confirmed his relationship with Antonia Roumelioti in June 2024, when they were spotted holding hands at the London midseason premiere afterparty.
While the pair have not publicly addressed their relationship, eagle-eyed fans noticed Roumelioti's presence in New York City during the "Bridgerton" premiere. This added fuel to the speculation.
Previously, fans speculated that Newton was dating his co-star Nicola Coughlan after they held hands at the Australian launch of "Bridgerton" season 3 in May 2024. However, PEOPLE magazine clarified that Newton and Coughlan are just friends and supportive co-stars.
So, who is Luke Newton’s rumoured girlfriend? Antonia Roumelioti is a professional dancer, frequently sharing videos of her performances and classes on Instagram. She has danced for "Dancing On Ice" and as a background dancer for various performers. Roumelioti has collaborated with numerous studios in London, including The Playground and STC Training Club.
In her high school years, Roumelioti competed in "Greece’s Got Talent" with her school partner, expressing aspirations of performing on Broadway or London’s West End.
In April 2024, Newton and Roumelioti were seen sunbathing together at Griffith Observatory in L.A., as reported by The Mirror. Around the same time, Roumelioti shared a photo from a café in L.A., and Newton's InStyle feature showed Polaroids of him at the same café with the same table number.
Roumelioti was also in NYC during the "Bridgerton" season 3 premiere in May 2024. She subtly hinted at her presence by posting mirror selfies tagged in Manhattan four days after the event.
The couple was first publicly spotted together in June 2024, attending the afterparty of the "Bridgerton" midseason premiere in London. They left the event hand-in-hand, with Roumelioti in a backless aqua gown and Newton in a yellow button-down and black dress pants.
In his InStyle profile, Newton described his perfect date as anything "intimate," where one can truly connect. He mentioned that the right person can make any scenario a good date, whether it's coffee, a walk, or dinner. Newton also shared his idea of a soulmate as someone with whom you can be completely yourself, even in the privacy of your home.
