Kim Kardashian is turning heads with her Janet Jackson-inspired ensemble! On Monday, June 10, Kardashian, 43, shared photos on Instagram showcasing her iconic outfit from Jackson’s 1993 “If” music video.
The outfit, which Kardashian purchased at auction, was worn during Jackson's June 4 concert, where she was joined by her sister Khloé Kardashian, mom Kris Jenner, and friends.
“That’s the way love goes,” the SKIMS founder captioned her post, nodding to Jackson’s 1993 hit song.
In the first photo, Kim and Khloé, 39, struck matching poses with one arm raised. Kim donned a black crop top with white boning, black lace-up pants, and a boned choker, complemented by wavy locks and hoop earrings.
Khloé, meanwhile, rocked a black catsuit paired with black leather thigh-high boots, flaunting her new auburn hair.
Kim continued to flaunt her Jackson-inspired look in other photos, flashing peace signs during the concert in Palm Springs and stepping out of a car at the airport en route to the show.
The shapewear mogul also posed with her close-knit "lifers" friend group, introduced in the June 6 episode of ‘The Kardashians.’
The group, including Khloé and their momager Jenner, 68, appeared backstage at the concert. “I crashed the lifer pic and I’m never turning back!!!!!,” Khloé commented on the post.
A final video clip showed Kim and Khloé singing along to Jackson’s song “Again” from their concert seats, with Jenner making a cameo and joining in on the fun.
Kim had previously revealed in 2021 that she bought Jackson’s custom outfit for her music video “If” at auction, paying $25,000 for the iconic look. “For @janetjackson’s bday bc I’m such a fan I can’t believe I won this on @juliens_auctions,” Kim posted on her Instagram Stories at the time.
Kim teased her Jackson-inspired outfit on Instagram Stories on June 4, sharing clips of herself walking in black flared pants with fringe on the sides and black boots, as well as modeling her white, boned choker in the car on her way to the concert.
