Twenty-six years later, the Owens women are making a comeback. Warner Bros. revealed plans for a sequel to the beloved 1998 film, "Practical Magic," with discussions underway for Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman to reprise their roles.

In the original film, Bullock and Kidman portrayed the mystical Owens sisters, who become entangled in a supernatural dilemma when Bullock inadvertently poisons and fatally wounds Kidman's abusive former partner (Goran Višnjić), leading them to resurrect his body.

Directed by Griffin Dunne and adapted from Alice Hoffman's 1995 novel of the same name, the original film has become a cherished spooky season favorite among crystal enthusiasts.

Akiva Goldsman is set to write the screenplay for the new film, with Bullock and Kidman anticipated to produce alongside Denise Di Novi.

On Sunday, fans started buzzing about the future of "Practical Magic" following a midnight announcement on TikTok, referencing the "midnight margaritas" scene from the original film. The announcement revealed that the movie is now available digitally and can be streamed on Max.
