At a packed town hall in Phoenix, former President Donald Trump vocally criticized President Joe Biden's recent executive order on immigration, labeling it as "bullsh-t" in front of more than 3,000 supporters at Dream City Church.

This marked Trump's first public engagement since his conviction on 34 counts in the Stormy Daniels hush-money trial.

The event, hosted by Turning Point Action and the Turning Point Political Action Committee, was aimed at bolstering their "Chase the Vote" initiative to mobilize Republican voters in key states.

During the event, Trump fervently expressed his dissatisfaction with the current state of U.S. border security compared to 2016, promising to rectify the situation if re-elected.

"In 2016, it was beautiful by comparison. But we’ll fix it again," he asserted to a responsive crowd.

The former president also delved into criticisms of his successor’s policies, particularly focusing on immigration.

"Joe, you’re fired!" he exclaimed, which was met with enthusiastic applause. He condemned Biden's policies as a "heinous and criminal obliteration of our southern border," a statement that fueled chants from the audience.

Despite this, Trump noted, "I don’t like using the word in front of these people."

Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, also spoke at the event, framing the upcoming election as a pivotal moment beyond Trump, describing it as a "class struggle" and a fight against the ruling class.

Despite the scorching heat, which resulted in hospitalizations for at least 11 attendees, the town hall drew significant attention to issues of border security and the economy, which Trump highlighted were the primary concerns of the questions he received.

Trump’s visit also prompted responses from state Democratic leaders, who held a news conference to address his criticisms on behalf of the Biden campaign earlier that day.
