Fans of 'Bridgerton' were led to believe that Benedict might be meeting his love interest, Sophie, in Season 3 after an accidental leak.
The speculation arose when Nicola Coughlan, the lead of Season 3, posted behind-the-scenes photos from the set on Sunday, June 2, with the caption, "10 days till part two but who’s counting?"
Several of Coughlan's followers focused on the final picture showing the actress seated in hair and makeup with her co-star Luke Newton. Specifically, fans noticed a Post-It note affixed to the mirror with the name "Sophie" written on it.
A social media user wrote “SOPHIE?!? 👀” in the comments, to which Coughlan replied, “lolll no that’s @sophie.burton.33’s makeup station!!” Sophie Burton, referenced in the previous statement, works as a makeup artist on the popular series.
Although fans were excited by the possibility, it's still uncertain whether Season 3 of "Bridgerton" concludes with Benedict (portrayed by Luke Thompson) encountering his potential love interest, Sophie. Their romantic narrative is actually the focal point of the third novel in the 'Bridgerton' book series, ‘An Offer From a Gentleman,’ which serves as the inspiration for the show.
The Netflix adaptation of the 'Bridgerton' series has diverged from Julia Quinn's books in terms of both details and the sequence of events in the seasons. Season 3 marked the first departure from this pattern by shifting focus to Colin (played by Newton) and Penelope (played by Coughlan), deviating from Quinn's book 'Romancing Mister Bridgerton.'
