Hugh Grosvenor, the seventh Duke of Westminster and Prince George's godfather will be at the center of attention tomorrow when he marries Olivia Grace Henson in what has been dubbed the wedding of the year, according to the Daily Express.

The Bridgerton-like ceremony is set to take place this Friday, June 7, at Chester Cathedral.

Hugh Grosvenor, once described as the UK's most eligible bachelor, was recently named the wealthiest person in the UK under 40 by the Sunday Times. The Daily Express reported that the 33-year-old, known to friends as "Hughie," has a net worth of £10.127 billion, a substantial increase from the £9.878 billion he had in 2023. He also ranked as the 14th richest person overall in the UK, down from 11th last year.

The billionaire is very close to Prince George's parents, Prince William and Princess Kate. The Prince of Wales is set to be a guest of honor at Friday's wedding. In 2013, William asked Hugh to be George's godfather, a role he accepted with pride, attending George's christening at St James's Palace in London.

Hugh's father, Gerald Grosvenor, the 6th Duke of Westminster, who passed away in 2016 from a heart attack, was also very close to King Charles. Following Gerald's death, Hugh inherited his title and a vast global property empire at the age of 25. He became the head of The Grosvenor Group, which owns significant parts of London and over 1,500 buildings worldwide.

Hugh Richard Louis Grosvenor, born on January 29, 1991, in London, is the third child and only son of the late Gerald Grosvenor and his wife Natalia. He was raised at Eaton Hall in Cheshire with his three sisters, Lady Tamara, Lady Edwina, and Lady Viola. Hugh has links to the Russian Imperial House of Romanov through his mother, specifically from Nicholas I of Russia, and the Russian writer Alexander Pushkin.

The Daily Express noted that Hugh attended a state primary school and then the private Mostyn House School. He continued his education at Ellesmere College and earned a degree in countryside management from Newcastle University. This upcoming wedding will not only be a significant personal milestone for the Duke but also a high-profile event reflecting his prominent status in British society.
