After weeks of sweltering weather, Karachi is set to experience some relief as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted cloudy weather and strong winds for the next 10 days.
A PMD official stated that thunderstorms are expected between June 7 and June 10 in several cities across Sindh.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz reported a significant change in Karachi's weather, with a strong sea breeze currently blowing through the city. “The metropolis will remain partly cloudy and windy for the next 10 days,” he added.

Sarfaraz further mentioned that rain with thunderstorms is anticipated in parts of Sindh between June 7 and June 10. He also warned of a possible heatwave in upper and central Sindh starting next week.
The resumption of the sea breeze has led to a drop in temperatures in the port city, providing relief to the residents after days of intense heat.
Meanwhile, rain in the upper regions of the country, including various cities in Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, has broken the spell of heat.
A PMD statement released highlighted that the hot weather conditions would subside due to the thunderstorms and precipitation in the upper and central parts of Pakistan, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Diamir, Astore, Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Murree, Galliyat, Quetta, and Zhob.
