T20 World Cup 2024: Shaheen Afridi ‘shocked’ by bowler label

‘Why have you written just bowler next to my name’, fast bowler complains during ICC photoshoot

News Desk June 06, 2024

A humorous incident occurred during the ICC T20 World Cup photoshoot involving Pakistan's cricket team’s star fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi.

During a photoshoot, Afridi was asked to pose with a poster that labelled him solely as a “bowler”. This designation did not sit well with Afridi, who considers himself an “all-rounder”.

He promptly expressed his dissatisfaction, questioning why he was not acknowledged as an all-rounder. "Why have you written just 'bowler' next to my name?" he complained.
