From the big screen to your phone, ‘Zindagi Tamasha’ to be the first film released on TikTok

Award-winning film will be divided into shorter parts to cater to the app's user experience

In a pioneering collaboration, TikTok has joined forces with Khoosat Films, helmed by the acclaimed director Sarmad Khoosat, marking a historic moment in the digital entertainment sphere as Zindagi Tamasha becomes the first full-length feature film to be released on the short-form video platform.

This innovative partnership designates TikTok as the official entertainment partner for the movie, underscoring the platform’s dedication to creative storytelling and entertainment. The film starring Eman Suleman, Arif Hassan, Samiya Mumtaz and Nadia Afgan, will be segmented into 12 to 15 parts, each over a minute long, providing TikTok users with a captivating viewing experience. All related content will be accessible under the hashtag #ZindagiTamasha on TikTok, making it simple for users to find and interact with the film.

Sarmad, director and founder of Khoosat Films, commented on the collaboration, “Our film inspires kindness, promotes tolerance, and encourages peace. I’m thrilled it will be the first Pakistani film officially released on TikTok, and we cannot wait for the platform’s vibrant global community to enjoy the movie.”

Zindagi Tamasha has earned international acclaim, winning prestigious awards such as the Kim Ji-Seok Award at the Busan International Film Festival and the Snow Leopard Award for Best Film at the 6th Asian World Film Festival in Los Angeles. Additionally, it was officially selected as Pakistan’s submission for the 93rd Academy Awards, representing the country on the global cinematic stage.
