Former President Donald Trump made an appearance at UFC 302 in Newark, New Jersey, receiving a standing ovation from the crowd as he entered The Prudential Center.

This event occurred just two days after Trump was found guilty on multiple charges in a high-profile Manhattan trial.

Accompanied by UFC President Dana White, a long-time friend, Trump was greeted with enthusiastic cheers and applause.

As he navigated through the crowd, Trump exchanged handshakes and even shared a brief moment with UFC commentator and comedian Joe Rogan.

"The round of applause he’s getting right now is pretty staggering," Rogan commented during the broadcast.

Trump's presence at the event underscores his passion for mixed martial arts, a sport he frequently enjoys and for which he has a substantial following.

Despite the recent conviction on 34 criminal charges related to falsifying business records to influence the 2016 presidential election, including a $130,000 "hush money" payment, the former president’s popularity within the UFC community appeared unaffected.

The conviction stems from a payment made through his former lawyer Michael Cohen to adult film star Stormy Daniels, purportedly to prevent her from disclosing an alleged one-night stand with Trump.

As Trump faces these legal challenges, he has declared his intention to appeal, asserting his commitment to "fighting for our Constitution."

His unwavering stance and the support he receives at events like UFC 302 highlight the strong backing he still commands among certain groups.
