King Charles is expected to invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Balmoral this summer but Queen Camilla reportedly dreads the potential disruption.

Royal expert Tom Quinn informed the Mirror that while an invitation is likely, Queen Camilla does not want the King's peaceful summer holiday potentially ruined by ongoing family tensions.

The monarch traditionally spends his summers in Scotland, often inviting members of the Royal Family to join him.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have only visited Balmoral once since stepping down as senior working royals.

Quinn suggested that King Charles will extend the traditional invitation.

"King Charles will issue the traditional invitation to Harry and Meghan to spend part of the summer at Balmoral, but safe in the knowledge that Harry and Meghan will make their excuses and decline," Quinn told the Mirror.

Quinn also noted that the serene 50,000-acre private estate could be an ideal place for reconciliation.

However, Queen Camilla worries about anything that might disrupt the calm her husband needs for his cancer recovery.

"Relaxing at the 50,000-acre private estate might be just the place to let bygones be bygones, but Camilla will be dreading anything that threatens the calm her husband needs to continue his recovery from cancer," Quinn said.

Additionally, Prince Harry's feud with Prince William might deter him from visiting.

"Harry would love to see Kate and his expressions of concern for her are deeply felt, but he knows that he can’t see Kate without seeing his brother [William] so it’s not going to happen," Quinn explained.

Quinn previously suggested Meghan and Harry would decline an invitation to Balmoral after demanding an apology for their treatment during their time in the Royal Family.

"Meghan and Harry feel that turning up at Balmoral will put them on the back foot as it's very much Royal Home turf," Quinn concluded.
