Jaafar Jackson, son of Jermaine Jackson and Alejandra Genevieve Oiaza, is poised to portray his legendary uncle, Michael Jackson, in the highly anticipated film by Antoine Fuqua.

Recently spotted donning the iconic "Thriller" look, Jaafar's resemblance to Michael is uncanny, complete with the famed red leather jacket, black accents, and the signature mullet hairstyle that defined an era.

At just 27, Jaafar embodies his role with an eagerness to honor the profound legacy left by his uncle. The film, set to release in 2025, explores the life of the King of Pop, who began his career with the Jackson 5 and ascended to unparalleled solo fame, garnering 13 Grammy Awards among other accolades before his tragic death in 2009 from acute propofol intoxication.

The upcoming biographical musical drama will not only recount Michael's illustrious career but also delve into his personal trials, including his final days.

Michael passed away on June 25, 2009, following a grueling rehearsal schedule, under the care of physician Conrad Murray, who was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter for administering the fatal dose of propofol.

The star-studded cast includes Kat Graham as Diana Ross, Colman Domingo as Joe Jackson, Miles Teller as John Branca, Kendrick Sampson as Quincy Jones, Liv Symone as Gladys Knight, and Jessica Sula as La Toya Jackson.

The film's producer, Graham King, expressed his confidence in Jaafar's portrayal, having been deeply moved by Jaafar's natural reflection of Michael’s spirit and personality.

"I met Jaafar over two years ago and was blown away by the way he organically personifies the spirit and personality of Michael,” King told Variety.

"It was something so powerful that even after conducting a worldwide search, it was clear that he is the only person to take on this role. I am beyond thrilled that he has come on board to portray his uncle and cannot wait for the world to see him on the big screen as Michael Jackson.”

As anticipation builds, Jaafar himself has taken to Instagram to share his journey, posting rehearsals of Michael's iconic dance moves and expressing his humility and honor in bringing his uncle's story to the global audience. "To all the fans all over the world, I’ll see you soon," he promised.
