Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday 2 World Tour hit a snag this weekend after the rapper was arrested in Amsterdam on suspicion of carrying drugs.

The ordeal began with a hold-up at the airport, leading to a cascade of disruptions for the renowned rapper.

Addressing her fans with sincerity, Minaj expressed her regrets on social media: "I love you and I’m so sorry this happened tonight," she shared in a video. Her efforts to maintain a connection with her supporters didn't stop there.

Minaj also announced on X (formerly Twitter) that she would make a personal appearance to greet fans: “I’m going on the balcony so if you’re outside I’ll be able to see you & I may come downstairs. I’ll be out there for about an hour. Rlly (really) wanted to at least get to see you."

The controversy surrounding her arrest was captured live by Minaj herself on Instagram, showing a heated exchange with officers who accused her of possessing drugs.

Minaj later commented on X, detailing the frustrations and alleging sabotage: “They’ve been trying to stop me from coming to every show,” she posted.

“They took my bags before I could see them. Put it on the plane. Now saying they’re waiting on customs. This is what it looks like when ppl are paid big money to try to sabotage a tour after all else failed. Everything they’ve done is illegal.”

Ultimately, Minaj was released after several hours, but the delay forced the cancellation of her performance that evening.

In response to the day's events, fans gathered in large numbers outside her Manchester hotel, where Minaj greeted them from her balcony.
