Jennifer Lopez graced the red carpet for the premiere of her new Netflix sci-fi action film, "Atlas," at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on Monday, May 20. The 54-year-old actress-singer radiated confidence, donning her wedding ring despite recent reports of marriage tension with husband Ben Affleck.
Affleck, 51, was absent from the premiere due to filming commitments for "The Accountant 2." The couple, who rekindled their romance and married in 2022, are reportedly living separately amid growing strain in their relationship.
Despite the rumours, the pair were seen smiling together over the weekend and continue to wear their wedding rings in public. However, sources reveal that their differing approaches to media attention are causing friction. "Ben hates all attention and it makes him very uncomfortable. Jennifer has always had a different approach," an insider shared to PEOPLE.
In "Atlas," Lopez portrays Atlas Shepherd, a brilliant data analyst who distrusts artificial intelligence. She embarks on a mission to capture a rogue robot, forcing her to rely on AI to save humanity's future.
The film, directed by Brad Peyton and written by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite, boasts a stellar cast including Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, and Mark Strong.
Lopez, who also co-produced "Atlas," revealed in a behind-the-scenes video that the film's emotional core resonated deeply with her, particularly the themes of love and friendship.
"Atlas" will be available for streaming on Netflix on May 24.
