Melbourne-born actress Abbey Lee Kershaw turned heads at the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, attending the premiere of Kevin Costner's new Western epic, ‘Horizon: An American Saga.’
Kershaw, 36, looked radiant in a beaded silk lavender gown with a halter neckline, thigh split, and draped detailing. The svelte blonde completed her look with sparkling jewelry, dramatic makeup, and loose waves in her hair.
Kershaw portrays Marigold in ‘Horizon,’ a sex worker who witnesses a murder and must flee with her protector, played by Costner.
The film is the first of a planned four-part series by Costner, a project he has been passionate about for three decades. Notably, Costner reportedly mortgaged his California estate to help finance the film's $100 million budget.
This marks a high-profile return for Kershaw, who has balanced modeling and acting throughout her career. She is best known for her role as The Dag in ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ (2015) and her recent role as a government informant in the 2023 TV series ‘Waco: The Aftermath.’
Kershaw has also received acclaim for her acting, including a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for her performance in ‘Lovecraft Country’ (2020).
Prior to her acting career, Kershaw was a successful model, walking runways for prestigious fashion houses like Victoria's Secret, Fendi, Versace, and Dolce and Gabbana.
