Jessica Alba revealed to ‘Us Weekly’ about her excitement to return to the silver screen, at the Monster Jam World Finals XXIII at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on Saturday, May 18.
Alba is returning after spending more than a decade focusing on The Honest Company, her brand.
The Honest Company, founded by Jessica Alba, deals with beauty, baby, cleaning products and more.
The ‘Good Luck Chuck’ actress explained to ‘Us’ her decision of stepping down from her position of Chief Creative Officer of The Honest Company.
“It’s been 12 years, so I think it’s time to get back into entertainment and also think about what else I want to create or do,” she told Us of her move away from the brand she founded. “I have a movie actually coming out June 21st for Netflix called ‘Trigger Warning’. It’s an action movie and I executive produced it. So, I’m excited.”
‘Trigger Warning’ will be Alba’s first movie since 2019. The actress plays a Special Forces commando who returns to her hometown to investigate her dad’s mysterious death.
Alba will remain a part of her “labor of love,” her company, but she will not be involved in its day-to-day operations.
‘Trigger Warning’ is set to release on Netflix, June 21.
