Gastroenteritis: Death toll rises to 10 in Khuzdar

QUETTA: Two more victims suffering from gastroenteritis – a child and woman – died on Tuesday in Khuzdar district, taking the death toll from the past ten days to ten. Around 40 patients suffering from gastroenteritis had been admitted to hospitals while another 60 cases have been reported in Zhob district since the first day of Eid. People have complained against lack of access to clean drinking water following recent rains that have devastated their villages. The Balochistan Health Department maintains it has issued a ‘high alert’ in all districts.
