The body of a young man, identified as Rawal Rehman, was discovered in the bushes of Chak 112 GB, in Jaranwala area on Tuesday.
The victim, reportedly returning from visiting his in-laws, was allegedly murdered by unidentified assailants and dumped near the bushes.
Rawal Rehman, who had gone to meet his wife Shakila Bibi, at her parental home, failed to return as expected. Passers-by alerted the authorities upon spotting his body lying near the bushes.
The police shifted the body to a morgue and initiating an investigation into the matter. A case has been registered against the unidentified perpetrators, with law enforcement agencies actively pursuing leads to apprehend them.
In a separate incident, a female employee of a private company lodged a complaint of assault against her supervisor, leading to her termination from employment.
Hafsa Faiza Kiran reported to the police that she was employed as a ladies security guard.
Allegedly, Duty Supervisor RanaAli Akbar and Evening Duty Supervisor Allah Rakha subjected her to harassment and abuse, prompting her to report the incident to the company's owner.
