The Archewell Foundation, the non-profit organisation founded by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, was briefly declared delinquent by the California Registry of Charities and Fundraisers for failing to submit the required annual report and renewal fees.

The delinquency notice, issued on May 3, prohibited the foundation from soliciting or disbursing charitable funds. However, a source close to the foundation clarified that the issue stemmed from an unreceived check for the renewal fee, despite the report being filed on time. A new check was promptly sent, and the foundation expects the matter to be fully resolved within the next seven business days.

The temporary halt in operations did not affect the foundation's recent activities in Nigeria, where they announced an expanded partnership with the GEANCO Foundation to include mental health resources and training for young people. They also facilitated the expansion of the Giants of Africa youth sports charity to include adaptive sports programming in Abuja.

The Archewell Foundation, established in 2020 following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's step back from royal duties, aims to uplift and unite communities through acts of service and compassion. Its mission is to drive positive change and support a growing community of partner organisations focused on systematic cultural change.
