Drake and Kendrick Lamar have created some of the most exciting moments in hip-hop recently. However, their recent diss track releases have been confusing due to false leads and misinformation.

DJ Akademiks became involved in the situation when DJHed announced on May 2 that Drake would be releasing a response to Lamar's "Euphoria." DJHed host hinted at the release on X (formerly Twitter), then later confirmed that the news was verified.

Drake seemed to be taking advantage of the moment and was expected to release his response shortly after "Euphoria." However, this turned out not to be the case. DJ Akademiks quote tweeted DJHed's post, writing: "CAP."

He then appeared, via phone call, on Kai Cenat's May 2 live stream. Cenat asked whether Drake was actually dropping a response track, and Ak said no.

He later joined Kai Cenat's live stream on May 2 via phone call. When Cenat asked if Drake was indeed releasing a response track, Akademiks said, "There ain't nothing dropping tonight, man."

He argued that DJHed was just trying to be part of the conversation by sharing inaccurate information.

DJ Akademiks has faced criticism for his biased opinions, such as claiming Drake's "Push Ups" is a superior diss track to Lamar's "Euphoria." He has also been counting the days since Drake's last response, similar to how he did with Lamar.

Currently, DJ Akademiks' credibility is being questioned due to his inaccuracies regarding various aspects of the Drake vs. Kendrick battle.

Additionally, he does not disclose the sources of his information.

On his “Akademiks TV” Twitter page, DJ Akademiks also shared: “Kendrick was supposed to be on ‘First Person Shooter’ with Drake and J Cole, but he declined, which incited the beef.
