“There was never a fight, or a falling out, he quit the band 11 years ago in the middle of the night.”

Jon Bon Jovi has discussed some possibilities for future band albums or songs.

While promoting the band’s upcoming album “Forever” and documentary “Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story,” the frontman addressed the long-rumoured reunion with former guitarist Richie Sambora.

Speaking to Absolute Radio's Leona Graham, Bon Jovi revealed there's no animosity lingering after Sambora's departure in 2013.

“It's been 11 years,” he said, “and I'm still waiting for the phone call.”

He clarified that Sambora's exit wasn't a dramatic one, “There was never a fight, or a falling out, he quit the band 11 years ago in the middle of the night.”

He continued, “There was no animosity, because being in a rock band, as glorious as it sounds, is hard work and he decided that being on the road with us wasn’t for him and he just didn’t show up any more. That’s really what happened.”

The “It’s My Life” singer even reported,  “He came to see the doc… I watched the first few episodes with him. It’s all good.”

While Jon Bon Jovi was promoting the documentary, fans noticed the absence of his wife Dorothea Hurley at the red carpet premiere.

Reports initially speculated her absence might be due to comments Bon Jovi made about his marriage, where he claimed he was “not a saint,” implying infidelity.

However, Bon Jovi's rep exclusively clarified to Page Six that Hurley's absence was due to contracting COVID-19 and having to quarantine at home. The spokesperson confirmed, “She’s feeling well and recovered.”

Bon Jovi also spoke about his recent vocal surgery, which raised concern about his ability to perform.

“The progress, and the process has been continual,” he reassured fans. “I'm far along and more than capable of singing on the record.

“It’s just getting back to tour shape but that’s up to God.”
