In a new interview with V Magazine, she recalls how 'chemistry tests' in the 2000s often involved kissing multiple potential co-stars.
This experience left her feeling both confused and pressured to appear compliant.
Hathaway stresses that while this was once considered normal, the industry has thankfully advanced. "It was just a very different time and now we know better," she says.
This awareness shaped Hathaway's approach as both star and producer of "The Idea of You". "The Idea of You", which premiered to positive reviews at SXSW, will stream on Amazon Prime Video starting May 2nd. You can read the full Hathaway profile on V Magazine's website.
