Los Angeles Police are investigating Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, following a battery report filed against the artist.
According to law enforcement sources who spoke to TMZ, Ye is suspected of punching a man on Tuesday night.
The alleged altercation reportedly stemmed from an incident involving Ye's wife, Bianca Censori.
A representative for Ye told TMZ, “'Grabbed' is grossly inadequate as a description of what happened. Bianca was physically assaulted.”
The representative also revealed that the unidentified man allegedly "put his hands under her dress, directly on her body," further describing the incident as sexual assault.
Following the altercation, Ye and Censori reportedly left the scene. The alleged victim did not require medical attention.
TMZ reports that police intend to speak with the rapper to hear his side of the story and will also be interviewing witnesses.
This is not the first time Ye has faced battery investigations. In 2023, police investigated an incident where he was filmed grabbing a photographer's phone and throwing it into an intersection.
However, the case was dropped.

Earlier this year, a separate lawsuit was filed against the hip hop mogul for assault and battery stemming from a 2022 incident.
The lawsuit alleges that Ye struck the plaintiff in downtown Los Angeles after telling him, “I’m going to make a f***ing example of you.”
