'Stormy' documentary secures international distribution, release timed with Trump trial

The documentary "Stormy," exploring the life of former adult film star Stormy Daniels, has found an international home with Blue Ant Studios. The announcement coincides with the start of Donald Trump's criminal trial regarding alleged hush money payments to Daniels.

The film, available in both two one-hour episodes or a feature-length format, is helmed by an acclaimed team. Emmy-nominated producers Erin Lee Carr ("I Love You, Now Die") and Sarah Gibson ("Britney vs. Spears") lead the project, with Judd Apatow ("George Carlin's American Dream"), Sara Bernstein, and Meredith Kaulfers ("The Super Models") serving as executive producers.

"Stormy" is currently streaming on Peacock in the U.S.
