Pledges support towards educational needs of martyrs' children

In a bid to champion educational opportunities and honour the sacrifices rendered by martyrs, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti announced the launch of the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Programme in the province.

Under this pioneering initiative, the provincial government pledges unwavering support towards the educational needs of martyrs' children, the chief minister declared.

"The state will assume the role of a nurturing guardian, ensuring that educational expenses from nursery to higher education are fully covered under the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship," he affirmed.

Expressing profound commitment to the welfare of martyrs' families, Chief Minister Bugti directed the interior ministry to meticulously compile data pertaining to all individuals honoured as martyrs.

In a groundbreaking move towards global academic excellence, the chief minister announced full scholarships for aspiring students from Balochistan to pursue doctorate studies in modern scientific disciplines across 200 prestigious universities worldwide.

Furthermore, as part of the comprehensive scholarship programme, top ten matriculation achievers from each district will receive opportunities for higher education within the country.

In a gesture of inclusivity, Chief Minister Bugti announced an equitable distribution of scholarships, ensuring fifty-fifty allocations annually for minorities and transgender individuals across all educational levels from nursery to master's degree programmes.

The Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Programme underscores the government’s steadfast commitment to cultivating intellect, promoting equality, and empowering Balochistan’s youth for a promising future.
