Scobell shared the momentous photo on his Instagram Story, and fans went wild. Comments flooded in like: “Somebody call the apollo cabin, i need a medic for the heart attack i just had 😭😭” and “CHILDHOOD ME AND ADULT ME ARE SCREAMING, CRYING AND HUGGING EACH OTHER RIGHT NOW.” The enthusiasm was so high, one fan even jokingly blamed their meet-up for the earthquake in New York City!

Fans even suggested bringing in Chris McCarrell, who played Percy in the Broadway musical, to recreate the famous Spider-Man meme.

Scobell currently stars as Percy in the Disney+ series, while Lerman brought the character to life in the 2010 and 2013 films. Lerman has been incredibly supportive of Scobell, sending him an encouraging note: “The show looks amazing. I can’t wait to see you all crush it in your roles... I can’t imagine a better fit for Percy Jackson than Walker. You were so brilliant in The Adam Project. Hope you like eating blue food the next few years because I think you have a hit show on your hands.”

Scobell was touched by Lerman's words and had even reached out to him previously after admiring his performance in The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

With the series renewed for season 2, fans have high hopes that Lerman might even make a guest appearance on Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
