Known for his engineer's precision and scientific wit, Nye chose the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8 as the perfect backdrop for his style transformation, marking a rare celestial event where the moon casts the Earth into midday darkness.

 

For a special photo shoot with Time Out New York, styled by Melissa Lynn Woodbury, Nye showcased a series of flashy, trendsetting outfits that rendered him nearly unrecognizable. The unexpected fashion pivot was so compelling that it could easily be mistaken for a high-fashion campaign or a debut in the world of Zoolander.

 

Beyond the wardrobe change, Nye shared his enthusiasm for the solar eclipse in his interview with Time Out, urging everyone to experience the phenomenon firsthand.

"I really encourage everybody to take that day, that midday drive up the road. Get in the totality,” Nye advised, emphasizing the unique experience of being in the eclipse's direct path.
