A royal expert has claimed that Prince Harry faces pressure from his wife Meghan Markle to maintain a relationship with the Royal Family "for commercial reasons."

Since their move to the US, Harry and Meghan (the Duke and Duchess of Sussex) have distanced themselves from the royals, yet continue to use their titles in both charity and for-profit endeavours.

Tom Quinn, a royal biographer, suggested while talking to The Mirror that Harry might be "under pressure" to keep some connection with his family, potentially for business ventures.

He adds that Harry might still hope for forgiveness and a minor role within the monarchy.

Quinn drew a parallel between Harry and Meghan, and Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson.

Edward's desire to marry Wallis led to abdication.

Quinn suggests that despite a lavish lifestyle after their marriage, Edward and Wallis were "unhappy."

He implies Harry might be aware that Edward, even after abdication, retained some minor royal roles.

Looking to the future, Quinn expresses concern that as the "fire" fades in Harry and Meghan's relationship, Harry might feel "lost," similar to Edward when his relationship with Wallis waned.

Quinn concludes by suggesting that Harry might eventually try to mend fences with his brother to achieve his desired role as a "part-time Royal" with Meghan, though palace officials might resist this.
