Child found with slit throat passes away

Incident occured in Federal B Area Block 16 on Wednesday afternoon

A child who was found in fatally injured condition behind KMC flats in Federal B Area Block 16 died on the way to the hospital.

The child’s uncle informed the police that an unknown person rang the bell at the house and took the child with him. Police have formed four teams to arrest the murder suspects.

According to the details, the incident occured in Federal B Area Block 16 on Wednesday afternoon behind Cardio Hospital. Reportedly, unknown suspects brought 7-year-old Obhan Mazhar in a street behind KMC flats and cut his aorta before escaping.

A passerby woman saw the accused running away and raised a noise. The people of the neighbourhood gathered and immediately rushed the child to the hospital by ambulance but the child died due to excessive bleeding.

Police teams reached the scene and conducted a thorough investigation while a forensic team also reached the spot and collected evidence. DSP Yousuf Plaza Asghar Mehdi told the media that SSP central has formed teams to arrest the suspects involved in the murder of the child, which is investigating every angle of the incident and is also getting the CCTV footage extending from the child’s house to the crime scene.

DSP Yousuf Plaza further said that the statement of the eyewitness woman will also be taken. The accused will be arrested soon, the police said. Later, the police handed over the body to the heirs after conducting legal proceedings and post-mortem at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Faheem, the uncle of the deceased child, told the media in the hospital that they had no enmity with anyone, while the deceased child was the second of three siblings. The child’s father, Mazhar, works in a private company. The uncle appealed to IG Sindh and other officers to arrest those involved in the murder of his nephew and bring them to justice.
