Actor did not mince his words

In a recent X post, actor Adnan Siddiqui didn't mince words as he offered his perspective on the Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer, Fighter. Siddiqui advised the Fighter team to reflect on their approach, cautioning against insulting the audience's intelligence.

Furthermore, he emphasised that audiences can discern hidden agendas and urged that entertainment should remain free from unnecessary politics. "A lesson to heed for the Fighter team after your flop show: Do not insult your audience’s intelligence. They can discern agendas. Let entertainment be free from unnecessary politics," stated the star in his post on the microblogging site.

This statement follows Siddiqui's earlier X post, where he expressed disappointment with Bollywood's shift from celebrating love to crafting hate-filled narratives that portray certain communities as villains. Despite the longstanding admiration for Bollywood films, Siddiqui called for art to transcend boundaries and be a force for promoting love and peace. He highlighted the unfortunate impact of political dynamics on the two nations, stressing the need for a more positive narrative in the film industry.

"Once celebrated for love, Bollywood now crafts hate-filled narratives, portraying us as villains. Despite our love for your films, it's disheartening. Art transcends boundaries; let's use it to promote love and peace. Two nations, victims of politics, deserve better," stated Siddiqui previously.

The actor's comments have sparked discussions online, with netizens sharing diverse opinions on the intersection of entertainment and politics in the context of cross-border relationships. As Fighter continues to be a focal point of conversations, Siddiqui's critique sheds light on the broader implications of narratives in the film industry and their potential impact on fostering understanding between nations.
