BUREWALA:

PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Friday took a swipe at the rival political parties, pointing out that while they canvassed for votes in Punjab, they were left red-faced when confronted with the fruits of Nawaz Sharif's development initiatives.

She said that despite their criticism of PML-N and the former premier, “wherever they venture in Punjab seeking votes, they encounter the benefits of projects initiated by Nawaz Sharif”.

In a veiled critique aimed at PPP's Bilawal Bhutto, Maryam pointed out that opposing leaders visit Punjab to criticize Nawaz Sharif, only to find themselves surrounded by PML-N projects at every turn. In contrast, she remarked about the region they hail from (presumably referring to Sindh), where unfortunate scenes include cows being tied up in schools.

Maryam, while addressing a rally in Burewala, also expressed her concern for unemployed youth and promised that "If you vote for the 'lion,' PML-N will not just succeed; we will serve you day and night."

The PML-N's chief organiser highlighted Nawaz Sharif's commitment to the people, saying he was the only leader concerned about reducing inflation, and electricity bills, and providing essential commodities such as gas, bread, flour, and sugar.

Maryam credited her father for ending 22 hours of load shedding in three years through hard work and dedication.

"If Nawaz Sharif managed to eliminate 22 hours of load shedding in 3 years, it is because of God's grace, his hard work, and his love for you," she stated.

Addressing the audience, she emphasised PML-N's sincere service to South Punjab, countering claims of other parties that had “deceived” the region's residents by peddling the dream of South Punjab.

“I want to tell the people of South Punjab that PML-N is the only party which has served here from the heart,” she claimed.

Maryam urged citizens to compare the state of South Punjab between 2013, 2017, and the present, citing developments initiated by Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif.

Recalling specific projects, Maryam mentioned the construction of the Multan metro and the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute in Lahore, with a parallel kidney hospital established in Multan.

She highlighted the establishment of modern Children Hospitals in Lahore and Multan, as well as the announcement of a medical college in Vehari by Nawaz Sharif.

She further highlighted that the PML-N has previously established medical institutes and agricultural universities.

Additionally, Nawaz Sharif has recently announced that, if elected, the PML-N will build a medical college in Vehari.

The PML-N leader went on to state that the manifesto of her party will be unveiled on Saturday. "Our manifesto is very clear," she asserted.

The key objectives outlined in the manifesto include the development of every city, and village, and support for farmers. The party aims to provide hospitals, free medicines, medical facilities, free and universal education, the establishment of educational institutions, the construction of Danish schools in every district, the development of a motorway network, the reduction of electricity bills, provision of gas, affordable bread, flour, vegetables, and the facilitation of affordable meat and pulses. "All these initiatives are our responsibility," she affirmed.
