In a significant stride towards global exposure, the Sindh Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) is set to make its debut at the Tourism Exhibition in Thailand, scheduled from February 25 to 28. The move resonates with the vision of Arshad Wali Muhammad, Minister for Tourism, Environment, Climate Change & Coastal Development, Government of Sindh, aiming to spotlight the rich heritage and captivating allure of the Sindh province on the global stage.
Minister Muhammad said, “This is a golden opportunity to unveil the hidden treasures of Sindh to the enthusiastic Thai market. Our participation underscores our commitment to showcasing the unparalleled beauty, vibrant culture, and historical significance of Sindh, while fostering stronger ties with Thailand in the tourism sector.”

Heading the delegation at the exhibition will be Fayaz Ali Shah, Managing Director of STDC, and Khawaja Jahanzeb, CEO of Zeb Travels. They will engage the Thai audience with captivating narratives of Sindh’s archaeological wonders like Mohenjo Daro and Makli necropolis, the serene charm of the Thar desert, and the mesmerising beaches along the Arabian Sea.
With growing interest in Pakistani tourism among Thai travellers, the exhibition provides a strategic platform to amplify Sindh’s appeal. In 2023, over 500 Thai tourists visited Pakistan, and Sikh communities in Thailand consistently make the pilgrimage to Lahore for Guru Nanak’s birthday celebrations.
