The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate from NA-171, Mumtaz Mustafa, is accused of harassing the returning officer (RO) and district returning officer (DRO), prompting the bench to reserve its decision.

He is said to have threatened ECP staff with dire consequences if he did not secure the electoral symbol of 'the cricket bat.' The PTI candidate reportedly exerted pressure on the ECP during the nomination process.
