‘Need to spread message of harmony’

Minister for religious affairs affirmed equal treatment for all citizens in Pakistan, irrespective of their beliefs

The Caretaker Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Aneeq Ahmed, emphasized the importance of spreading the message of harmony and peaceful coexistence, particularly among the youth.

He addressed a seminar on "Bridging Beliefs: Interfaith Harmony in Pakistan," organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony in collaboration with Dawood University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) Karachi.

Minister Aneeq highlighted the role of the young generation as ambassadors of Islam's message of moral excellence, expressing hope that they would propagate it globally for the realization of an inclusive and holistic society.

He underlined the interconnected divine messages in all religions and stressed the significance of justice and freedom for all citizens in an Islamic state.

Aneeq Ahmed questioned the sincerity of claiming love for Allah while harbouring prejudice and enmity toward others based on their religion.

The federal minister affirmed equal treatment for all citizens in Pakistan, irrespective of their beliefs, and emphasized the collective responsibility of citizens for the country's development.
