HEC sends 934 parliamentarians degrees for verification

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) sent degrees of 934 parliamentarians to relevant universities for verification.

ISLAMABAD:

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) sent degrees of 934 parliamentarians to relevant universities for verification on Tuesday.


HEC sources said 21 degrees have been sent to madarrassas, while degrees of 36 members have been sent to foreign institutions.


A deadline of 15 days has been set for the verification process.


The action has been taken by the Election Commission in line with the Supreme Court's orders.

Hamood | 14 years ago | Reply Shame on them. These are the 'leaders' who the voters elected to run the affairs of the country. Bunch of lying crooks. No wonder the country is in ruins while the politicians fill their pockets.
R S JOHAR | 14 years ago | Reply The mandatory qualifications requirement for Parliamentarians was not enforced even in India which is the biggest democracy of the world, therefore it was bound to fail in Pakistan. It was a wise step to delete this clause in the 18th amendment.
