The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday ordered the removal of billboards and hoardings from public places in the city within 15 days.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Nadeem Akhtar heard the case on the petition of Dr Syed Ali Raza Gardezi regarding the removal of billboards and hoardings installed at the public places.
The petitioner’s counsel submitted that the Supreme Court had banned the installation of billboards in the middle of roads, on the roadsides, flyovers, intersections, electric poles, footpaths and pedestrian bridges. The Supreme Court had also banned private company sponsored traffic signboards.
