Parsa Tower burns twice in a night

Chief Fire Officer mentions that people re-entered building after initial cooling process around 1am

KARACHI:

The fire at Parsa Tower in Block 6 PECHS on Sharae Faisal, which broke out twice between Tuesday and Wednesday night, was finally controlled at 7am.

Despite the initial containment by midnight, the inferno rekindled in the early hours of Wednesday, with firefighters successfully extinguishing it for good at 7am. Chief Fire Officer Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan mentioned that people re-entered the building after the initial cooling process around 1am.

Still, strong winds reignited the flames, trapping individuals who had inspected the offices.

Fortunately, they were rescued, and the fire on the eighth and ninth floors was extinguished.
