Crime roundup: Four killed, two injured in different parts of Hazara

Four persons including a minor boy were killed while two others were injured in different incidents.

Four persons including a minor boy were killed while two others were injured in different incidents that took place in Hazara on Sunday.


Police told that two motorcyclists were on the way from Khanpur to Taxila when a recklessly driven dumper truck ran over the bike, killing Shehzad, a resident of Pakshahi Khanpur village, on the spot. His friend Nazakat was seriously injured and shifted to Wah Cantonment Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.

The second accident was reported from the jurisdiction of Bagnotar Abbottabad Police Station, where another motorcyclist, Asif, a resident of Malach village, was killed when his motorbike skidded off Nathiagali Road near Chirayan and fell into a deep gorge, His relative, Omar Javed, was seriously injured.

The third road accident was reported from Mansehra, where a minor boy, Javed, 5, a resident of Doraha village, was crushed to death by a truck. The boy died instantly and the driver managed to escape from the scene.

In another incident, a young boy killed himself over unknown reason in the jurisdiction of Khalabat Township Police Station here on Sunday.

Family sources said that Azam Shah, 13, a resident of Kakotri village, committed suicide using a 12-bore shotgun.

The boy was taken to DHQ hospital, Haripur, but he succumbed to his injury.

The family said the boy was mentally-handicapped, which may have led him to take his own life.
