Ranbir Kapoor's latest film, Animal, has roared its way to the second-fastest INR100 crore Hindi film at the domestic box office, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the Hindi version of Animal garnered an impressive ₹113.12 crore nett within the first two days of its release, outshining Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, which managed ₹111.73 crore nett in the same timeframe.

While Animal claims the second spot on the list of the fastest INR100 crore earners in Hindi cinema, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan continues to reign supreme, securing the top position with a staggering ₹123 crore nett in India over the same two-day period. The battle for box office dominance between these two Bollywood heavyweights has captivated audiences, with fans eagerly tracking the success of each film, as per Hindustan Times.

Joining the ranks of these cinematic powerhouses in the top five fastest INR100 crore Hindi films are Salman Khan's Tiger 3 and Yash's KGF: Chapter 2, both achieving the coveted milestone within the initial two days of their respective releases. Tiger 3, released on Diwali 2023, claims the fourth spot with ₹101 crore nett, while Yash's magnum opus takes the fifth position with ₹100.74 crore nett in two days.

Notably, Gadar 2, the blockbuster sequel to Sunny Deol's 2001 hit Gadar, took three days to cross the ₹100 crore nett mark in India after its release in August 2023. The film's impressive performance at the box office resulted in a total collection of ₹135.18 crore nett by the end of the third day.

As the list unfolds, the 2017 epic Baahubali 2: The Conclusion secures the seventh position, also taking three days to join the ₹100 crore nett club, amassing ₹128 crore in its Hindi version. Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju (2018) follows closely in eighth place with ₹120.06 crore nett in three days, while Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai and Prabhas' Adipurush round off the top 10 with ₹114.93 crore nett and ₹112.75 crore nett, respectively, within the initial three days of their releases.

While Animal is breaking box office records, the film has also been facing intense scrutiny for its misogyny, violence and vulgarity, with a section of the audience calling it out.
