Balochistan Caretaker Chief Minister, Ali Mardan Domki has expressed concern over the National Highway Authority (NHA) slow pace of work on development projects in the province. During his fourth visit to ongoing development communication projects under the Quetta Development Package, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki conducted a comprehensive review.
Chief Minister focused on projects such as Spini Road, Saryab Road, Link Badini Road, Radio Tower Road, Western Bypass, and Inscumb Road on Thursday. Project Director QDP, alongside officials from the NHA and NLC, briefed the chief minister. Notably, the release of sanctioned funds for these projects has been expedited, with assurance from the project director that work is progressing at an accelerated pace.

During the briefing, it was highlighted that the Council of Islamic Ideology’s opinion on mosques affected by road expansion is expected next week. The chief minister expressed the urgency of resolving matters related to mosques in consultation with religious scholars. He showed satisfaction on the speed of work but expressed concerns about the slow pace of administrative affairs at the NHA and instructed officials to expedite the process.
Chief minister also emphasized that there would be no compromise on quality, urging completion of all projects to high standards. Addressing concerns on Sabzal Road, the chief minister instructed the P&D Department, project director QDP, and NLC officials to collaborate in finding solutions to controversial issues hindering speedy completion of development schemes. He asserted that after the release of funds, no delays or excuses would be tolerated in road construction. He instructed the NHA to provide written information about the final completion dates within one week.
