Governor writes to Services & General Administration Dept to retrieve vehicles

Governor Kamran Tessori has taken notice of Advocate Mehmood Ahmed Sheikh's legal notice regarding return of 42 official vehicles of Sindh Assembly by the former assembly members.

Governor has written a letter to the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) secretary to retrieve the vehicles.

Senior Special Secretary Muhammad Khan Rind also wrote a letter to Agha Siraj Durrani to return the vehicles of Sindh Assembly.

As many as 22 official vehicles are being used by former speaker of Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani, while 11 vehicles are being used by former ministers. The chairmen of the standing committees have not returned nine official vehicles yet. Three vehicles are being used by the former deputy speaker.

According to the law, government vehicles were supposed to be returned within three days of the dissolution of the assembly. Surprisingly, even the Election Commission of Pakistan has not taken notice of the violation of the rules by the lawmakers who did not return the official vehicles.
