District administrations have sealed 47 marriage halls across various districts of Punjab on Saturday over non-compliance of one-dish regulations and imposed fine of Rs3.7 million.
In response to directives from the interim Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, an extensive crackdown on marriage halls were underway against breaching regulations concerning one-dish policies and operating hours across Punjab.
District administrations also filed 12 cases against the management of these halls, leading to the arrest of three individuals.

Specifically, within Lahore division, 22 wedding halls faced closure due to regulatory violations. FIRs were lodged against the management of 10 halls, culminating in the apprehension of three individuals. A collective fine of Rs260,000 was imposed on four halls.
In Rawalpindi division, inspections were carried out at 95 marriage halls, with fines amounting to Rs150,000 imposed on five establishments for breaching the Marriage Functions Act.
Multan division witnessed scrutiny of 98 marriage halls, resulting in fines of Rs400,000 in four instances of regulation violation.
