India extended their winning streak to eight matches in ODI World Cup by defeating South Africa with a commanding margin of 243 runs in Kolkata on Sunday. This victory marks India's eighth consecutive win in the tournament, maintaining their unbeaten record thus far.

As Indian cricket fans rejoice in celebration, Pakistani internet personality Hareem Shah has chimed in with a new claim, questioning the tournament’s integrity. Taking to X, Hareem penned, “India thinks that the world is a fool, but we are not fools. We are aware that this tournament has been fixed by BCCI and ICC to ensure India's victory.”

She added, “It’s all the wonders of money!” Like many celebrities, Hareem has been deeply invested in the 2023 World Cup, frequently voicing out her thoughts on Pakistan’s performance, which last saw an outstanding century by Fakhar Zaman against New Zealand on Saturday.

Long-time admirer of fast bowler Naseem Shah, Hareem also expressed her sentiments over the cricketer’s absence from the tournament. Under a post on X congratulating Pakistan on its victory over New Zealand by Naseem, the TikTok star replied, “Wish you were a part of this world cup. Really missed your presence.”

Naseem, who is not part of the current World Cup squad, conveyed his joy on X by uploading an image featuring Fakhar and Babar Azam. “Never count PCB out, always believe [in it],” wrote Naseem in the post, applauding Muhammad Wasim Jr’s performance and lauding Fakhar and Babar’s partnership, declaring it “truly a joy to watch”.

Earlier in World Cup series after Pakistan’s disappointing loss to India, Hareem attributed Indian victory to supernatural forces. Posting on X, she claimed to have received information from reliable sources suggesting that Jay Shah, the Secretary of BCCI, had allegedly engaged the services of a black magic practitioner, Kartick Chakraborty, to jinx Pakistan cricket team’s performance.
