Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday appointed Senator Ishaq Dar as the chairman of the party’s election cell.
PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal issued a notification regarding Dar’s appointment, stating that making Dar the head of the election cell will speed up the election-related activities of the party.
“All election-related matters, including receipt of applications for party tickets and monitoring of election rules, will be completed quickly with Dar as the head of the cell.”
Senator Dar also chaired the parliamentary committee that drafted the Elections Act 2017 passed by parliament.
