Body of the deceased lies on the road for an hour after the incident

DIJKOT:

Two people were shot and killed by armed suspects over a land dispute on Saturday. Police seized both bodies and started raids to arrest the accused.

According to details, 68-year-old Arshad was on his way to work on his motorcycle. Meanwhile, Sufiyan and others chased him on motorcycles and allegedly fired at him, killing him on the spot. The body of the deceased lay on the road for an hour after the incident.

Acting on the information of passersby, Saddar police reached the spot, took possession of the body and handed it over to the victim’s family members after a post-mortem.

Meanwhile in Chak No. 420/GB, Saleem Akhtar's nephew Noman was engaged in a dispute with other residents, identified as Adnan and Akhlaq among others. The enmity was over the possession of two kanals of land.

On Saturday, the accused allegedly shot Noman and injured him while he was working in his fields at Kayala No.11. He sustained severe injuries. He was shifted to the hospital after receiving on-site medical attention, where he succumbed to his wounds. After handing over the body to the heirs, police started raids to arrest the suspects.
