Kerosene, LDO, LPG rates fall

Prices of petrol and diesel would remain unchanged for the next fortnight of November, while the kerosene oil, light diesel oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) would cost less, according to two separate notification issued here on Tuesday night.

The caretaker government decided that the current prices of petrol and high speed diesel at Rs283.38 and Rs303.18, respectively, would remain unchanged for November 1-15 period, according to a finance ministry notification.

It added that the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil had been reduced by Rs3.82 and Rs3.40 per litre, respectively. Accordingly, the new price of kerosene oil will be Rs211.03 per litre and of light diesel oil would be Rs189.46.

Separately, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) decreased the price of LPG by Rs9.95 per kilogramme for the month of November, saying that the price of domestic use LPG cylinder would witness a reduction of Rs 117 and commercial-use cylinder of Rs452.

According to the notification, maximum producer price with general sales tax (GST) had been fixed at Rs2,474.83 per 11.8 kilogramme cylinder, while maximum LPG consumer price had been set at Rs2,962.17/11.8kg cylinder.

Now the LPG will be available at Rs251 per kilogramme instead of Rs261 per kilogramme. It means that domestic use cylinders will be available at Rs2,962 instead of Rs 3,080 and commercial cylinders will be available at Rs11,397 instead of Rs 11,849.
