Federal cabinet gives approval on aviation ministry’s recommendation

ISLAMABAD/KARACHI:

The government has granted permission to Fly Jinnah – a first low-cost carrier owned and operated jointly by Lakson Group and Air Arabia Group of the United Arab Emirates – to operate on international routes.

According to caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi, the approval was given by the federal cabinet on the recommendation of the aviation ministry.

Fly Jinnah will now be able to carry out flight operations in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Turkiye and the UAE.

The airline is celebrating its first anniversary on Oct 31 (today), marking a year of exceptional service and outstanding achievements.

Over the past 12 months, Fly Jinnah has established itself as a preferred airline for passengers. It is operating a network of domestic flights, connecting major cities across Pakistan, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta, through air links.

Since taking to the skies with its inaugural flight on Oct 31, 2022, Fly Jinnah has consistently prioritised operational excellence and customer services.

During its first year, the airline operated more than 4,370 domestic flights, ensuring a hassle-free and comfortable journey for the passengers.

In order to facilitate the travellers, Fly Jinnah developed a user-friendly mobile app through which the passengers could easily book flights, track their journey and access other essential services.

The Civil Aviation Authority recognised Fly Jinnah’s commitment to operational excellence, noting its punctuality and consistency during its extraordinary flights and declared it the country’s top airline.

As Fly Jinnah enters its second year of operations, it continues to expand its reach to set new trends for the aviation industry, enhance the overall travel experience, and deliver benefits to the passengers.
