The Punjab Planning and Development Board (PDB) has increased the pace of work to complete 43 projects in the province within the set timeframe.

According to officials, it was noted during a meeting of the board that the Shahdara Multi-grade Flyover project had reached 92 per cent completion, Imamia Colony Overhead Bridge 65%, Akbar Chowk flyover and Bedian underpass 80% and the Main Boulevard Gulberg to Walton Road 80%.

The Ghorra Chowk flyover was reported to be 34% complete.

The board also discussed the upgrade of the Services, Ganga Ram, Mayo, General, Lady Willingdon and other hospitals.

A report was presented on the upgrade of Lahore Zoo and Safari Park, and orders were issued to expedite the upgrade of Darbar Baba Bulleh Shah, Shah Shams Tabriz, Baba Farid and Bibi Pak Daman.

Caretaker provincial ministers, the chief secretary and secretaries of several departments attended the meeting.
