In a surprising move, Indian actor Kangana Ranaut has openly displayed her support for Israel. This move has ignited a new wave of controversy amidst the ongoing wave of attacks by Israel on Palestine. The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the State of Israel shared an image of Ranaut with Naor Gilon, the Ambassador of Israel to India, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan, thanking her for her support.
This comes at a time when many right-wing Indians have already been vocal about their support for Israel on social media. It also comes at a time when recent hostilities by Israel have resulted in devastating casualties on the Palestinian side. As the world watches these events unfold, Ranaut's public endorsement of Israel has drawn both support and criticism.
Thank you @KanganaTeam for visiting @IsraelinIndia and showing your support for Israel.

Taking to her own Instagram as well, Ranaut shared images of her with the ambassador, penning alongside, "Had a soulful meeting with Israel’s ambassador to Bharat, Shri Naor Gilon ji." A translation of her text in Hindi further reads, "Today the whole world, especially Israel and India are fighting their war against terrorism. Yesterday when I reached Delhi to burn Ravana, I felt the Israel Embassy should come and meet those who are defeating terrorists like today's modern Ravana Hamas."
The star continued, "The way young children and women are being targeted is heart-wrenching. I have full hope Israel will win this war against terrorism. I discussed with them about my upcoming film Tejas and India's self-reliant fighter jet Tejas."
As the situation in Israel and Palestine continues to unfold, the role of public figures in shaping public discourse will likely remain a topic of interest and debate. The impact of their statements and actions on global issues is a testament to the interconnectedness of our world, where even a single post can reverberate on a global scale.
